Apostle Dr Francis Okonkwo Chinedu

Apostle Dr Francis Okonkwo Chinedu is the founding and lead servant of CITY OF GRACE AND WONDERS INTERNATIONAL ASSEMBLY. A teacher by training and a preacher by calling, Apostle Dr Francis brings decades of experience in pastoral leadership, ministry training and spiritual counselling. He is a graduate of Enugu State College of Education Technical (ESCET) and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and served in multiple leadership positions before founding CIGWIA.

Our Story

CITY OF GRACE AND WONDERS INTERNATIONAL ASSEMBLY was born in a humble dining room at the residential home of Apostle Dr Francis Okonkwo Chinedu on 9 December 2013. What began as a small movement focused on counseling and spiritual guidance steadily grew into a ministry that moved from house gatherings to school halls and, by God’s grace, to its present site where full and uninterrupted services are now held.

Apostle Dr Francis served for over 25 years with Assemblies of God Churches in various leadership roles — from choir and music leadership to youth presidency and evangelism — before answering God’s call to found CIGWIA. Through perseverance, prayer and an unwavering vision, the movement has trained, ordained and released hundreds of ministers through its School of Ministry and Biblical Studies, and has sent out branches and ministers across cities and nations.

Accreditations & Training: City Int’l Theological Seminary / School of Ministerial Leadership & Biblical Studies in linkage with Sheffield Int’l University Ho (Upper Volta Region, Ghana), accredited by The World-Wide Accreditation Commission of Christian Education Institute (Richmond, USA) in association with ISOM/GEM Bible Institute.
